As an artivist, my voice resonates with passion, empathy, and a profound sense of
purpose. I delve into themes deeply significant to immigrant communities, addressing
issues such as family separation, access to education, racism, and the struggle against
stereotypes. My artistic expression transcends mere visual captivation; it ignites
conversations, provokes thought, and advocates for social justice. I view my art as a
powerful tool for raising awareness and shedding light on the experiences and
challenges faced by immigrants. For me, it’s more than just embellishing spaces; it’s
about fostering connections, bridging divides, and enriching societies. My art catalyzes
dialogue, understanding, and collective action.

Emily Little is an eclectic visual artist, writer, and organizer of community events with over four years of experience in the Charlotte arts community. She is an active exhibiting artist in Charlotte, most recently recognized by her second project for Charlotte’s annual BOOM Festival, titled “Harmonize In Real Time”, a live painting collaboration between 10 local artists curated by Little. Little’s works, both written and visual, reflect her constant striving towards full authenticity in her works and her daily interactions, releasing the biases placed on us by society both conscious and unconscious, eliminating the fears and anxieties each situation creates, letting go of the tendency to please others, and bearing the beautiful and the ugly, the mundane and the profound, and every other concept of duality found in this reality. She specializes in creating mixed-media contemporary statement pieces depicting the paradoxical concepts of the human experience.

I have always wanted to be an artist. Graduating from the Univer-
sity of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Soon after
graduation, I left my artistic dream for the stability of the corporate
world. Fast forward to raising to young men, I re-dedicated my life
to my dream of bing a full time artist. My visual story telling
includes using watercolor, acrylic paint, fibers, clay, glass and
digital media.

Expanding my canvases to include murals began when I painted
walls in my home. Painting on that scale was exciting and I knew
that painting bigger was where I wanted my art to live. I believe art
needs to be accessible to all and murals are the way to achieve
that.

I am a visual artist and musician. I work in watercolors, acrylics and large format works. I teach private music lessons, and have had some of the most incredible students and lifetime musicians emerge from my studio – I am so blessed and proud.
I founded Arts for All in 2017 as a vehicle for fine arts to make an upward impact on our community. We all need the connection and upward lift that creating together provides. Fast forward and we produce 3 annual live theatre productions (including Theatre on the Beach at Jetton Park in July – so fun!) We host free art classes for senior adults and adults with disabilities. We still teach music, represent many local artists in our gallery, and touch as many lives with love and positive creative energy as we can.

A multidisciplinary feminist artist, Indrani Nayar-Gall weaves global narratives of marginalization, patriarchy, and misogyny through her practice in installation, 2-D/3-D media and moving image. Social justice themes stem from influences in her mixed north-south Indian background, parental model of community engagement and helping marginalized women in need, inspiration from socially engaged professors, and socio-political artivism. Indrani has exhibited nationally and internationally, and founded Yes She Rises LLC.

In a career spanning over thirty-five years, including teaching at BFA programs, she continually expands her practice, most recently directing two documentaries. Her first feature–String of Stories–received the 1st prize Humanitarian Award at the 2022-Rhode Island International Film Festival. I am a self taught mandala artist with a passion to create freehand intricate one of a kind pieces. My strength is in my hunger
for creating, and exploring different methods and mediums, always
bearing in mind that in the creative process the vision sometimes
evolves into something completely unexpected , unique and beautiful. What began as an exploration in 2015 turned into a full-time career in 2020 . Till date i have been part of several well recognized exhibits and art festivals like CIAF , Clt SHOUT etc to name a few.
With each piece that i create my desire is to always
breathe positivity into the world and i hope that my creations will
inspire, encourage and uplift. I want to continue to develop ideas of
how to bring my work into public spaces through murals and installations, especially through
collaborations with other artists.

I’ve been an artist all my life-exploring my craft whether designing events, making collages or creating home décor items. However, it wasn’t until recently that I decided to turn my passion into a business.

As a child, “creating” was always on my mind, but I also had an interest in business that I pursued into college in the form of Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

I am now at the intersection of these two worlds as I begin to explore my talent as an artist and utilizing my educational background and skills to build a business that supports my passion.
